Fishing Report for 6/9/14

Written on: June 9th, 2014 in Fishing Report

Fishing has really started picking up this last week.  With the weather and warmer water moving in we have seen some great catches.  Offshore fishing in the Baltimore and Wilmington Canyons picking up with Yellowfins, Bluefins, Big Eyes and reports of nice Gaffer Mahi.  There have been some nice Mako Sharks landed as well.

Inshore fishing reports a couple Thresher Sharks landed.  Rockfish, Flounder, Sea Bass and Sheepshead have also been landed in and around the Fenwick Shoals and the Indian River Inlet.  Back bays reporting some light activity with Flounder and Trout.

12 year old Patrick Gleason landed this 43.3 lb Bluefin Tuna on his first Offshore Fishing Trip aboard the Last $ with Captain Rodney Meyers.  Great Catch and good job Patrick.
