We have an amazing week of weather ahead of us. This is great news for the beginning of 25th MidAtlantic Tournament. Good luck to all the anglers participating in this tournament.

Day two of the White Marlin Open gave us our first White Marlin to hit the board. The Kallianassa weighed in a 76.5 lb White Marlin. Lets see if that takes the big prize. Closer to home, one of our slip holders, the Fish Whistle, with Capt Charles Horning, is currently in 2nd place in the Tuna division with a 71.5lb tuna. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!
Check out this catch from one of our charter fleet boats: Mark Rodowicz of Catonsville, MD, caught this 19.3lb mahi while out with Capt. Joe Noble of the Miss Donna. They caught is on chunked butterfish.

It’s finally here!!!! Today is the first day of the White Marlin Open and from what we are hearing about pre-tournament fishing, 30-35 releases of White Marlin on a couple of boats, this should be an awesome tournament. The tournament runs from August 8-12. If O.C. is just too crowded for you, stop on by Hookem & Cookem here at the Marina and watch them weigh and clean fish

What a week of fishing! The weather has been great both inshore and offshore.
Congratulations to one of our slipholders, Charles Horning and crew aboard the Fish Whistle who took 2nd place in the Big Fish Classic Tournatment this weekend. WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!
Offshore reports of Big Eyes, Yellowfins, Wahoo, Mako and Blue & White Marlin releases.
Inshore fishing has been red hot with anglers catching limits of flounder, seabass and croaker.
Come on down to the scales and see the fish being weighed in at Hookem & Cookem. While there, pick up some fresh seafood or slide on over to Hammerheads Dockside for a cool beverage and some good eats.

Check out the fish caught on one of our Charter Fleet vessels here at Indian River Marina!!!! Bryan Meurer and Dwayne Haga of Rising Sun, MD, David Hanks of Joppa, MD, Derek Haga and Dean Weaver of Rishing Sun, MD filled their coolers with plenty of tuna when they fished with Capt. Dave Collins of the Capt. Ike II. They fished with chunked butterfish and sardines and landed 15 yellow fin tuna. Great job finding the fish Captain Dave!

Happy Friday! The heat is on for at least the next five days, so try and stay cool. We have our Seafood and Arts Festival here at the marina Saturday, 7/23/16, from 10am-6pm.

Liam Coyle and William Winkler, both of Frankford, DE, chunked butterfish while out at the Canyon and caught their first blue fin tuna. Liam landed a 60lb tuna and Will caught an 86lb tuna.
Twin sisters Lilly and Sophia Merrick, daughters of Capt. George Merrick, fished on the Boy’s Toy and caught their first blue fin tuna. They were chunking butterfish to catch this 71lb tuna.
Dennis Robbins and Dwayne Dodd of “Double D Sportfishing”, fished with chunked butterfish and sardines and hooked up with these 3 yellow fin tuna that averaged 40lbs and also brought back 3 mahi.
Chad Tingle of Frankford, DE, Kiira Akers of Montana, Frank Blomquist (not pictured), Ariella Meyers and Capt. Rodney Meyers from the Last $ fished with chunked butterfish and squid and came back with 2 blue fin tuna, 2 yellow fin tuna and a mahi. The largest blue fin weighed 70lbs.
