Fishing Report 8/9/19

Written on: August 9th, 2019 in Fishing Report

Well folks, it’s the last day for the biggest tournament on the East Coast, if not in the world. Shout out to IRM’s own Fish Whistle for currently holding the top spot in the White Marlin category!

Good luck to all of the vessels, especially those representing Indian River, on this final day of fishing!

Here are some pictures from the past couple weeks of fishing:

Jeff Bennett of Frankford, DE fished using live eels out at Fenwick Shoal and caught this 28.3lb cobia.
This 4.8lb and 23 inch flounder was caught by Jen Connell of Clayton, DE using live spot while fishing in the Indian River Inlet.
Butch Emmert, John Kelleher, Will Emmert, Ellie Wakefield, John Wakefield and Ellie Lord, all from Rehoboth Beach, DE fished the Indian River Inlet using live spot and caught a boat load of flounder. The largest weighed in at 3.4lbs.
Steve Redden, Pat Petrarus and Jeff Waxman fished on the Priceless along the beach at Fenwick Island and hooked up with some nice cobia. They weighed 47lbs and 30lbs and were caught using a zucchini colored Spro bucktail.
Burt Campbell of Dagsboro, DE wanted to show off his new boat and break it in right by catching a limit of flounder in the Indian River Inlet.
Nick Ferrara of Middletown, DE fished from a fishing outfitted jet ski off of Fenwick Island Beach and caught this 34.4lb cobia using a bucktail.

Signing off and, as always, wishing everybody tight lines and good times!
