Anglers continue to hit the docks of Indian River Marina with great catches. Summer is starting to wind down, but the fishing action continues.
Lu Ann Harding of Smyrna, DE caught a 30″ rock fish in the Indian River Inlet using live spot.
Matt Hunsberger of Pittsburgh, PA caught a 5 lb black drum while his uncle Frank White of Ocean View, DE, caught a 4.7lb black drum. Both were fishing with sand fleas at “Bubble Gum Beach”.
Justin and Mike gorman and Dave Sterling of Leesburg, VA, caught a 44.9 lb wahoo when they were fishing out to the Elephant’s Trunk trolling ballyhoo and anIilander blue and white lure.
Captain JoJo Joachimowski of the “Knot Again” had a trip offshore to the Poor Man’s Canyon and hooked up with a mixed bag. Paul and Joe Cirillo , Dave McKelvey, and Darryl Scuse of Smyrna, DE brought back a 15lb mahi, a 47lb wahoo, a 45lb tuna, a 55.4lb wahoo, and also a white marlin release.

A 6.7lb and 26″ flounder was caught by Randy Negley of Chambersburg, PA, on squid at the Old Grounds.
Rob Martelo of Philadelphia, PA, caught a 5.9lb flounder while fishing out at site 11 on Horizon. He was using squid and minnows on a top and bottom rig.

The White Marlin Open is in full swing and some great fish are hitting the docks. The temperatures have been a little cooler, but the fish keep coming in at the Indian River Marina.
Andy Coates of New Castle, DE, caught two tautog while fishing out at about 3 miles out of the Indian River Inlet. They weighed in at 9.7lbs and 7.5lbs and were caught on clam.
Paul and Vickie Cronshaw of Bethany Beach, DE, caught a 136lb big eye tuna when fishing in 200 fathoms at the Washington Canyon. They were trolling with mylar sea witches rigged with ballyhoo.

We have finished out another great week of fishing here at the Indian River Marina. It is now time for the 40th annual White Marlin Open and we wish all anglers the best. Our fuel dock will operate with extended hours all days of the tournament and close at 9pm.
Camden D’Imperio caught a 10.6lb and 29 inch rock fish when he was fishing in the Indian River Inlet by the Coast Guard Station using live spot. This was Camden’s first striper that he had ever caught.
Klye Lynn, Bill, Sherri and Eric Anderson, JC and Barb Nuss, Ria Zimmerman, Kelly Coles, Jared Tillman, Edward Hughs, Jack Klunk and Maddie Breedlove caught sea bass and flounder while fishing on the Capt. Bob II’s full day trip with Capt. Roger Meekins. They were fishing out at B-Buoy and were using shiners, squid and cut bait to catch these fish. The largest of the flounder weighed in at 4.8lbs and measured 23 inches in length.
Justin Fox, of Baltimore, MD, caught a 5.8lb and 24.5 inch flounder while fishing on the Capt. Bob II with Capt. Roger Meekins. Capt. Roger said they were fishing out at B-Buoy using cut bait and shiners.

The fishing continues to be hot at Indian River Marina.
Matt Hunsberger of Pittsburgh, PA, caught a 3.2lb and 21 inch red drum fishing with sand fleas by the Coast Guard station at Indian River.
Capt. Bert Adams, owner of Hook ’em & Cook ’em caught these two keeper flounder while fishing in front of the Coast Guard station using a Gulp 5″ pearl white swimming mullet on a white jig head.
Billy and Lou Ann Harding of Smyrna, DE caught a 6.1lb 25 inch flounder using live spot while fishing out in front of Bubble Gum Beach at Indian River Inlet.

Dara Andrews of Lancaster, PA, caught this 7.1lb and 26 inches flounder when fishing on the Capt. Bob II with Capt. Roger Meekins. Capt. Roger said he was fishing out at B-Buoy using cut bait.
While trolling ballyhoo out at Poor Man’s Canyon, Alyssa Murray and Dillan Brewer caught a 71.5lb, 65″ wahoo. They were fishing on “Sea Flame” out of Indian River Marina with Captain Dan Devine and Rick Levinson.
Another Indian River Marina boat, “Knot Again” with Captain JoJo Joachimowski took out Ian and Rayu fitzgerald of Virginia Beach, VA and caught a 39.7lb wahoo on a drone spoon on the 30 fathom line at the Washington Canyon.
Justin Fox of Baltimore, MD caught a 5.8lb, 24.5″ flounder at B-buoy using cut bait and shiners.

The temperatures and fishing have been hot over the past few days here at Indian River Marina. Great catches continue to hit the docks from offshore, inshore, and bays.
Dave Schulte, Khris Hering, and Jim Senker all from the Eastern Shore of Maryland caught a 32lb wahoo using a black and purple llander rigged with ballyhoo out at the Hot Dog.
Brent Hurley of Beathany Beach, DE with Bill and his father, Capt. John Low of Georgetown, De on the “Out of Line” caught a 116.8lb blue fin tuna while trolling ballyhoo at the Hot Dog.
Mark Weibner or West Reading, PA and Daniel Abikasis of Granda Hills, CA caught a 41.9lb and 40″ cobia on the 20 Line using a green machine on the trill.

The Capt. Ike II with Captain Dave Collins aboard and crew hit the docks with this great catch of 417 lbs of Yellowfin Tuna. Great catch guys!!
One of our private boaters Captain Charlie Horning and crew hit the docks with 4 awesome Big Eyes. Weighing in at 271lb, 178lb, 192lb and another 271lb!!! Sweet catch!
Jim Clark, Steve Lewes and Brad Clark all from Rehoboth, DE landed a 50.8lb Tuna and 8lb Mahi at the Hot Dog then ventured to the Baltimore Canyon and landed 14 Tilefish largest weighing in at 20.8lbs.

Captain John Nedelka had a great day with his crew hitting the docks with large Seabass, Red Hake Ling and 2 Cobia weighing in at 19.5 & 20.5 lbs. The jpg was too large to download sorry no pic. Great day guys!!
Al White of Georgetown, DE landed a 7.3lb Sheepshead while fishing in the Indian River Inlet using sand fleas.
Nice Rockfish landed by Chad, Jason and Will Cochenour of Delaware the largest weighing in at 14lbs.
Captain Aaron Hurd aboard the Gale Force along with Mate Jimmy hit the docks with their crews limit of Flounder. Nice catch guys.
One of our private boaters Jeff Waxman and Jen Majak came to the docks with 2 nice Mahi while fishing at the Hot Dog.

David Smith, Kahle Shaner and Dave Harper all from Oak Orchard, DE caught nice keeper rock fish while fishing in the Indian River Inlet using live spot. David’s fish weighed in at 13.9lbs, Kahle’s fish weighed in at 14.6lbs and Dave’s fish weighed in at 9.7lbs.
Hunter Lipaska of Yardley, PA, caught a 17.5 inch flounder while fishing at B-buoy. It was caught using shiners and cut bait.
Ricardo Conti and his son Leandro of Columbia, MD caught a nice 3.5lbs flounder while fishing at Site 10 using cut bait and shiners.
Al and Josh Barnhart of Hanover, PA, caught a 17″ keeper flounder using shiners and squid and a black sea bass using salted clam out at Site 10.
