We are still seeing a good number of people around the marina trying to find some rockfish action after last week’s Nor’easter. So far it has been a rather mixed bag.
With the holidays approaching , we at IRM would like to thank everyone for such a great year and we look forward to 2015. Please have a very happy and safe holiday season. On February 13-15 stop by and see us at the Ocean City Boat Show at the Ocean City Covention Center.

Happy holidays to everyone! Our parking lots were busy as many anglers set out over the weekend to take advantage of the break in the weather. There has been some good tog fishing inshore and some reports of rockfish limits off of the beach.
As a remind to our slip holders, there are only 2 weeks left to get your vessels out of the water for winter land storage.
This winter please be sure to stop by and visit us at the Ocean City Boat Show and mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Kids Catch-All Fishing Tournament, June 26th-28th here at the Indian River Marina, and the 7th Annual Seafood and Arts Festival on Saturday July 25th.
A here is a nice catch from IRM Charter Boat, Karen Sue this past weekend. Until next time, tight lines and good times!

State record 17.1-pound sheepshead caught from fishing boat out of Lewes
LEWES (Oct. 8, 2014) – DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife has confirmed a new state record in the Delaware Sport Fishing Tournament: a 17.1-pound sheepshead caught on Sept. 29. The fish was 28 inches long and had a girth of 24 inches.
David Walker of Boothwyn, Pa., who caught the fish in the lower Delaware Bay over a rock pile on a green crab, noted that his record catch was “delicious!” The catch is recognized as a Delaware record since the fish was caught from a boat out of and returning to a Delaware port.
The record catch was initially confirmed by Natural Resources Police Fish & Wildlife Enforcement officer AFC Joshua Hudson, and verified at the Lewes Harbour Marina in Lewes.
The previous record holder was Christopher H. Wentz, who caught a 15.11-pound sheepshead in 2012.

The weather has been tough this past week but that still has not stopped the fishing here at the Indian River Marina.
The Flounder fishing is continuing late into the season with monster Flounder being landed at all the inshore wrecks. Spotted Flounder are in the inlet as well. In the inlet also are Croaker, Sea Bass and Rockfish. The Indian River Marina offers Headboats and private charters for a fun day of Inshore Fishing.
It was tough getting out this week Offshore, but the boats that did make it out reported Yellowfin Tuna on evening bites, White Marlin, Makos and plenty of Mahi Mahi under the weed lines and balls.
All of the fish will be making their way South soon so there is plenty of time to get yourself hooke up on a charter!! Give us a call at 302-227-3071
