Fishing Report 10-26-17

The wind has kept the folks in the back bay today.  Reports of small flounder in the VFW and Massey’s ditch…15-16 inchers.  Few keeps have been reported.  Pretty slow day…no fish hitting the docks.

We are still having some great deals at the IRM Ship Store, so stop on in and pick up a t-shirt or sweatshirt.

Also, Hammerheads Dockside closes this weekend, so stop on down for some tater tots and a cold beverage!

Til next time, tight lines and good times.

Fishing Report 10-25-17

With the opening of Sea Bass on Sunday the 22nd, we have had lots of anglers landing bass and bring them here to the docks at IRM.   We are also hearing about mahi and swordfish being caught off shore.  We still have lots of good weather ahead of us this season, so get out there and get those lines in the water.

Til next time, tight lines and good times.

Fishing Report 10-7-17

Well, if you didn’t get out today, looks like you won’t be fishing for a few days.  I did hear reports of boats on their way back in with Trigger fish and Mahi.  There are a bunch of events happening around town today, so if you were out on the boat today, you were the lucky ones.

Have a great rest of your weekend!

There is still not much to report.   Not many out fishing lately.  Now they are forecasting more wind for the weekend.  Please stop down and hang out at Hammerheads Dockside before they close up at the end of this month.

Here is a pic of a nice tuna caught back in July:

Fishing Report 9-29-17

There is not much to report due to Maria hanging around off the coast.  The seas should be lying down in the next day or two so we should get back to some good fishing shortly.  In the meantime, stop on down to the marina and check out some of the great deals in our ship store.  Also, swing by Hammerheads Dockside and grab some lunch or dinner, then hit Hookem & Cookem for all of your bait and tackle needs.

Til next time, tight lines and good times!

If you have been brave enough to handle the swells out there this past week, you probably caught some fish…just like these folks:

“On the Hunt” fished between the Baltimore Canyon and the Poor Man’s and hooked up with this 66.8lb wahoo. It was caught by junior angler Sammy Brittingham of Smyrna, DE using a black and purple Joe Shute lure.  Pictured are Kevin Scuse,  John Coleman, angler Sammy Brittingham Jr.  and Sam Brittingham, Sr. all from Smyrna, DE.

Lisa Scarduzio of Avondale, PA caught about 20 fish while fishing on the Judy V. with Capt. Eddie Wheedleton, but was only able to keep this one flounder. It measures 17″ and weighed 1.6lbs and was caught just south of B-Buoy using cut bait.

Fishing Report 9-10-17

We had a great season.  We wrapped up the big marina events yesterday with our Fishermen’s Flea Market followed by a big party for our slipholders.  Thank you to all the slipholders for a wonderful season and a full marina!!!!

The web master for this page is taking a little time of to go fishing himself.  I will be back on-line on 9/20/17.

I leave you with a recent flounder catch:

Jim Thompson and Chris Carnley fished at the Old Grounds jigging squid and minnows on a heavy bucktail and caught these flounder. Jim caught the largest fish, weighing in at 8.8lbs. They caught a total of 25lbs of flounder that day.
