Fishing Report for 8/19/2014

We had another great weekend this past week.  The marina and docks were quite crowded and some great catches were coming in.  Here are some more pictures and reports from the past week.

Capt. Aaron Hurd took out his mate Jimmy Coffiey on a flounder fun fishing trip out to the Old Grounds and came back with a limit of flounder. The flounder were all caught jigging a Spro bucktails and Gulp baits. The largest flounder was caught by Nate, it weighed in at 4.6lbs. Laura Long of New Castle, DE caught this 21″ flounder and 13″ black sea bass fishing out at the Old Grounds with squid and minnows.

 

Capt. Rodney Jones of the “Fish Whisperer” took a day off from the charter business to take a family fishing trip. Brent Jones, Spencer Johnson and Brooke Jones caught these flounder and 1 black sea bass fishing out at B Buoy with cut bait of sea robin and ballyhoo (left over from the White Marlin Open) The biggest fish weighed in at 5.2lbs.

 

Lee Vincent and Jessy Blackburn of Indian River, DE fished the Old Grounds with bucktails with squid and caught these 8 keeper flounder.  The largest weighed 6lbs and measured 26″.
